Data Deletion Policy

At InovaHub, we respect your privacy and your right to control your personal data. This Data Deletion Policy explains how you can delete your account and associated data.

1. How to Delete Your Account

You can delete your InovaHub account at any time using one of the following methods:

• Via the Mobile App: Go to Settings → Danger Zone → Delete Account. Follow the on‑screen instructions to confirm deletion.
• Via Email: Send a deletion request from the email address associated with your account to support@inovatech.in.

2. What Happens When You Delete Your Account?

• Immediate Effect: Your account will be deactivated immediately. You will no longer be able to log in.
• Data Deletion: All your personal data (profile information, posts, messages, bookmarks, applications, etc.) will be permanently deleted from our active servers within 30 days of your request.
• Backups: Residual copies may remain in our backup systems for up to 60 days for disaster recovery purposes, but these are not accessible and will be overwritten.
• Anonymisation: Any aggregated or anonymised data that does not identify you will be retained for analytical purposes.

3. What Data Is Deleted?

• Your account credentials and profile information (name, email, phone, college, etc.)
• All posts, comments
• Your list of followers/following, bookmarks, and applications
• Any uploaded media (profile pictures, videos, etc.)

4. Data That May Be Retained

• Logs: Server logs containing your IP address may be retained for up to 90 days for security and fraud prevention purposes.
• Analytics: Anonymised usage statistics may be retained for product improvement.
• Legal Obligations: We may retain certain data if required by law or to resolve disputes.

5. Confirmation

After your account is deleted, we will send a confirmation email to your registered email address. If you do not receive a confirmation within 48 hours, please contact us at inovatech590@gmail.com.

7. Delete Specific Data Without Deleting Your Account

In addition to deleting your account, you can manage certain data while keeping your account active:

• Delete your own posts.
• Change or update your profile photo.
• Edit your profile information, such as your name, bio, college, course, or other profile details.

Please note that some content, such as stories, may not currently support manual deletion and will be managed according to the app's functionality or retention policies.
